Most small websites do not fail dramatically. A certificate quietly expires, a menu link points at a page that was renamed, a 6 MB photo makes the home page crawl on a phone, a staging copy's "Disallow: /" sends the whole site out of search. A webmaster catches these on routine rounds. Virtual Webmaster does those rounds with software, writes down what it found in plain words, and keeps doing them on a schedule.

What it is not

• Not a person. No one at Virtual Webmaster reads your report or works on your site. The name describes what the software does, not a staff member.
• Not a hosting, repair or design service. It never changes anything on your site.
• Not a security audit. It reports visible basics (HTTPS, certificate, headers, mixed content), not vulnerabilities or malware.
• Not affiliated with any agency that sells a "virtual webmaster" service by that name.

Who runs it

Virtual Webmaster is built and run by WeldonPC (Weldon Hastings), a computer services business in Ohio. The checker runs on WeldonPC's server in Ohio.
